| simply cover the wooden shape with washi tape, trim roughly with scissors and then file down the edges to get a smooth finish |

| I picked up a little bag full of these little guys from 'doc's wooden den' at a local market I attended recently. You can cover both sides with the same pattern or just coordinating colours. I also let the edge raw wood, but you could cover this with contrasting tape if you don't like the wood look. |
