Hello and welcome to the Paper Rose & WOW! Embossing Powder Blog Hop!
Embossing is one of those fabulous things in the Cardmaking industry that never gets old. Just watching the little particles melt right in front of your eyes is just magic.
For my card for the Paper Rose Studio & WOW! Embossing Powder Collaboration I chose to heat emboss one of the new Paper Rose Doodle Flower Coverplate dies using the gorgeous Vintage Amethyst Embossing Powders. It is a mixture of dark grey, black and silver sparkly goodness.
There are two Paper Rose
Doodle Flower dies which co-ordinate beautifully, giving you the effect that every second petal has been coloured. They can be used alone or stacked together.
The first card was created using both dies. When I was inking up the top die with embossing ink, I made sure to line up my panel evenly on a clean piece of cardstock so I could use this panel to create another card.
The blue layer was cut with the Doodle Flower 2 Die and used to back the embossed panel, then finished off with the Paper Rose Double Layered Chunky Thanks Die.
The second card was created using the panel that was catching the embossing ink, so essentially I used the Doodle Flower 1 Die as a stencil to create this look. The card was finished off with the Fine Script Congrats which is a little sneak peek of Monday's Paper Rose release.
