Make Rainbows From all the Things

Completely in love with rainbows at the moment!!

Because sometimes you just need to make rainbows out of all the things and shapes.

The following cards are super simple, using card creator dies and sentiments from

Paper Rose Studio

Love that you can cut a whole bunch of little shapes in just one pass.. cut them multiple times
from different colours of cardstock and just play.

Till next time..
Have fun creating!

Hello again lovelies.. I'm here today with a set of clean & simple cards created with the Colour Artist InksColour Embossing Powder & Uniquely Creative dies.

I heard on the grape vine a little while ago that the lovely Mel Struths had a thing for lightbulbs so was super excited when I got to turn my little lightbulb doodles into dies for Uniquely Creative. I had a million Colour Blast projects in mind when creating these dies and couldn't wait for them to be made.

To celebrate the release of these dies, Uniquely Creative is giving away a set of the Lightbulb dies & the Scripty Sunshine die & a couple packs of Embellies too. For all the info how to enter read the info at the bottom of the email.

Now, lets get onto making some cards...

For the backgrounds I cut down some watercolour paper to 5" x 7" and taped them down to a hardwood board with low tack masking tape. I wet down the paper with a wide brush and then dropped in little amounts of the Colour Artist Inks with a round paintbrush.

I let each layer dry completely (you can speed up the process with a heat tool) and then wet down the surface again and dropped in more colour.

For the greens & blues I used a combination of the CitrusLimeGrassMermaid & Oasis Colour Artist Inks.

I did the same process here with three layers and while the last layer was still wet I sprinkled on some salt crystals and let them sit for a good few hours.. I wasn't patient enough to let them sit overnight, but if you are the effects would be a little more dramatic than on my background.

For the above card I used a combination of the SpiceSunburntCiderBarleySlipper & Berry Colour Artist Inks.

I then die cut some lightbulbs, and sentiments from white cardstock and embossed them 3 times with the Bling & Stormy Weather Colour Embossing Powder, to get a lovely thick embossed effect. Don't forget to give your embossing powder a little shake before using it so that the embossing powder and sparkle mix well.

I then created three 4.25" x 5.5" card bases, cut down a piece of glitter cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and die cut my coloured backgrounds with a cross stitch rectangle die and stacked these on top of one another to create the background for my cards.

I then bundled up some silver and gold thread to layer under the sentiments and put together my cards.

I also added a sprinkling of rhinestones and pearls around the sentiments to add a bit more texture and ground the sentiment a little more.

This background was created in the same way but using the SpiceCider & Citrus Colour Artist Inks.

Penguin Pals Stamp & Colour Kit

Waaaaaaa!!!! Excitement plus right here with the second Stamp & Colour Kit release - Penguin Pals. This month the kit is focussed on these adorable little guys. Oh my!
Loved cracking out my Distress Oxides and Copics to create this fun card. The sentiment is from the All Occasions Stamp Set.. love love love that script!

The Penguin Pals kit from Uniquely Creative is packed full of goodies to complement these fun characters, including patterned paper, cardstock, cards & envelopes, bakers twine, the most adorable sequin mix ever which has tiny little snowflakes in it, iridescent pearls, glitter, acetate and of course the Penguin Pals Stamp Set, Fir Trees Die & an inspiration book chocked full of amazing ideas from the Stamp & Colour DT.

This little card was coloured with Distress Inks & Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Cubes

I added the Stitched Nesting Rounded Rectangles die & the Banner Sentiment Builder Stamp set to create this little layered card.

The First Christmas Stamp Set is just adorable, the little planks of wood can be used to build a stable and the little characters can be used together like in this card or by themselves.
The little Mary can be used as a little girl praying when used by herself. Joseph could be used as a shepherd coupled with the little sheep and the baby Jesus would look amazing with a beautiful gentle glow behind him.

The kit also includes two super cool chipboard Snow Globe Bases, which work perfectly with the Cross Stitch Nesting Arches dies to create shaker cards as above.

I couldn't resist using the little house from the Garden Guys Stamp Set from last kit's release together with the Woodland Creatures Stamp set to make this sweet little card. I cut apart the All Occasions Stamp Set to build the 'sending Christmas hugs' sentiment.

This was such an insanely fun Kit to work with.. seriously I could have just kept on going and going.

Pop over to the Uniquely Creative website to check out the kit and add-on's, check out the list of Stockists or ask your favourite paper crafting store to get the stamps & dies in for you.

Letters to Santa Creative Kit Club

Hi Lovelies... Just wanted to pop in quickly and share my September Creative Kit Club DT layouts with you. This month we used the Letters to Santa collection from Kaisercraft and the Uniquely Creative Stitched Nesting Postage Stamp die as well as the Kaisercraft Holly Sprig die as the add-ons.

My first layout was totally not Christmas at all, but a masculine one of my little guy. I couldn't resist that brick wall paper for this photo. I used mainly the cut-apart sheet for all my little sentiments and the Postage Stamp die to add texture to the layers.

And again here.. the photo determined the paper choices with those little spotty shorts my daughter was wearing. Love me some white spots on red.. I may just have a massive white / red spot coffee mug collection. A very simple layout with lots of room for journalling below or on the side.

Pop over to the Uniquely Creative website to check out all the amazing kits available and be sure to subscribe to make sure you don't miss a kit.
