Paper Rose Studio & Wow Collaboration Blog Hop

 


Hello and welcome to the Paper Rose & WOW! Embossing Powder Blog Hop!  

Embossing is one of those fabulous things in the Cardmaking industry that never gets old. Just watching the little particles melt right in front of your eyes is just magic. 

For my card for the Paper Rose Studio & WOW! Embossing Powder Collaboration I chose to heat emboss one of the new Paper Rose Doodle Flower Coverplate dies using the gorgeous Vintage Amethyst Embossing Powders. It is a mixture of dark grey, black and silver sparkly goodness.



There are two Paper Rose Doodle Flower dies which co-ordinate beautifully, giving you the effect that every second petal has been coloured. They can be used alone or stacked together.


The first card was created using both dies. When I was inking up the top die with embossing ink, I made sure to line up my panel evenly on a clean piece of cardstock so I could use this panel to create another card.

The blue layer was cut with the Doodle Flower 2 Die and used to back the embossed panel, then finished off with the Paper Rose Double Layered Chunky Thanks Die.


The second card was created using the panel that was catching the embossing ink, so essentially I used the Doodle Flower 1 Die as a stencil to create this look. 

The card was finished off with the Fine Script Congrats which is a little sneak peek of Monday's Paper Rose release.

Be Still My Beating Heart - The Brightest of all Cardstocks

 I had the pleasure of playing with the new Brights cardstock from Paper Rose and I am completely in love!! 

It just doesn't get brighter than this and the colours are just stunning!



These cards use the super cute Paper Boats, Paper Planes and Wave Border dies from Paper Rose.

New Love Affair with Prima Art Alchemy Wax

 OK.. so I got a bunch of stencils to play with over the weekend and I wanted to contain the mess a little, so I literally grabbed each stencil and embossed the into the Paper Rose Shimmer cardstock
and rubbed them with the 'new to me' Prima Art Alchemy Wax.

I know it's been around for a while and I have even had it sitting in my drawer for a while, but I never really played until now. 

Wow... just wow.. literally so so so cool and effective with this technique. 

So here is a little bunch of cards I created.. and I'm sure you will be seeing more of this magical goodness used on future cards. 







The super cool Paper Rose Stencils I used.

Make Rainbows From all the Things

Completely in love with rainbows at the moment!! 

Because sometimes you just need to make rainbows out of all the things and shapes. 

The following cards are super simple, using card creator dies and sentiments from

Paper Rose Studio. 

 

Love that you can cut a whole bunch of little shapes in just one pass.. cut them multiple times
from different colours of cardstock and just play.
